    <summary type="text">Title: Digital and Face to Face Assessment Implementation in Higher Education Institutions: Lessons for Teacher Educators

Abstract: This study aimed to investigate the digital and face-to-face &#xD;
assessment strategies in higher academic institutions from the &#xD;
standpoints of Palestinian students and teachers’ role in handling &#xD;
smooth assessment tools whether these tools are implemented in &#xD;
traditional setups or digital innovative ways. A questionnaire survey &#xD;
was completed by 8000 university students from four universities &#xD;
participating in an online learning program during the COVID19 &#xD;
pandemic in Palestine. A survey including both closed and open-ended &#xD;
questions was also used to ask students about their standpoints of the &#xD;
digital and traditional assessment practices. The results reveal that &#xD;
undergraduates consider face-to-face evaluation practices are more &#xD;
appropriate compared to digital assessment. A high percentage of &#xD;
learners believe that the digital and face-to-face evaluation practices &#xD;
did not have any significant differences due to university or gender &#xD;
variables. Similarly, most students express a positive attitude towards &#xD;
participating in online assessment because they feel relaxed without &#xD;
undergoing stress. Students perceive teachers’ digital assessment practices as an effective method during the pandemic. However, they &#xD;
often face challenges such as internet connectivity, digital literacy, &#xD;
electricity problems, and material constrains. The students propose &#xD;
several solutions for online assessment challenges most of which &#xD;
revolve around the significant role of teachers in undermining them. &#xD;
For example, students suggest allotting enough time for learners; &#xD;
updating the system; effective training; improving internet speed, and &#xD;
equipment efficiency.</summary>

Abstract: This research uncovers the chronological development of Palestinian&#xD;
literature in the context of Palestine's geopolitical, international political, and&#xD;
aesthetic settings to document the past of the people who have suffered&#xD;
unimaginable hardships and were exiled from their whole nation. It offers&#xD;
support for understanding Palestinian literature so that one may understand&#xD;
the influences of Palestinian authors. As writers look for creative methods to&#xD;
reenact their pasts and express their identities, the research investigates&#xD;
important subjects, encompassing the British Mandatory through 1948 and&#xD;
its repercussions through the 1967 Six-Day War and the ongoing&#xD;
colonization. Palestinian intellectuals employ the magical power of language&#xD;
to reclaim their dislocation and anguish outside the bounds of history. The&#xD;
development of "Writings of Resistance" starting in the mid-20th century&#xD;
and continuing now is evidence of the steadfastness of Palestinians living&#xD;
under Israeli occupation. Furthermore, Palestinian literature, which is still&#xD;
thriving, draws on earlier works and rejects the "horror of history."&#xD;
Palestinian literature perfectly expresses the Palestinian people's setbacks&#xD;
and the ongoing struggle for existence.</summary>

    <title>Cultural Representation and the Question of Identity in the Literary Works of Naomi Shibab Nye</title>

    <summary type="text">Title: Cultural Representation and the Question of Identity in the Literary Works of Naomi Shibab Nye

Abstract: Naomi Nye is a prominent American poet of Palestinian heritage. Nye is a compelling personality pioneering the pace for ethnic and youthful poets. The researcher delves deep into Naomi's literary works to highlight how the poet reflects on the Palestinian social milieu and ethnic variety of her motherland. More emphasis is placed on Naomi's origins and how her multicultural background serves as a launching pad for the poet's current profession as a patriotic writer. The study highlights Naomi's knowledge about the Middle East that seems practically relevant in the present troubled political times. Her literary works become pertinent in these troubling geopolitical conditions. The researcher uses the analytical approach in discussing selected literary works of the writer that include: 19 Varieties of Gazelle: Poems of the Middle East, Fuel, and Habibi. Naomi's poetic lines reflect her upbringing as an Arab American. While analyzing the poetic lines, one is confronted with a very compassionate and genuine lady who has a keen understanding of the complications facing everyone and whose focal attention is to depict reality with the help of poetic lines. Naomi's upbringing as the daughter of Middle Eastern immigrants places her in a unique stance to build bonds among diverse communities that are being riven by miscommunication. Her literary production covers a wide range of topics: citizenship, racial problems, parenting, companionship, and geopolitical difficulties relating to her folks who reside in the colonized Palestinian territory and others who dwell in the United States. As a multi-cultural individual, she demonstrates empathy, racialization, and affiliation. She rejects traditional borders and mistaken identity because the main objective is to identify the intertwined components comprising ethnic history, culture, race, national origin, belief, and physical location.</summary>
